On Sat. Oct. 17 we heard from Representative Matt Dean who started off describing the negative impacts of government restrictions that have hurt MN industries of “harvesting, manufacturing and healing”. Matt brought along Charlie Dunker from Jackson MN. Charlie’s story of his wife who became gravely ill and was unable to get diagnostic testing and treatment in a timely way due to the malfunction of the MNSure health insurance exchange was startling. Charlie’s wife passed away but he has taken their story to the State Capital to advocate for the repeal of MNSure. Matt is determined to change MNSure by abolishing it to make sure everyone can get the care they need and not be severely hurt by bureaucratic red tape. Thanks again to Matt and Charlie for being at our meeting.
Greetings! It was an interesting meeting Sat. Sept 12 with two members of the MEPS Board of Governors.
