Communicating the Ideas of Liberty

Guest Speaker: Devin Foley, Co-Founder & President of Intellectual Takeout

Join WCR on Saturday, October 13th as we welcome guest speaker Devin Foley, Co-Founder & President of Intellectual Takeout. Mr. Foley will be speaking on how to better communicate the ideas of liberty, an important goal with the upcoming elections. Intellectual Takeout is a non-partisan, educational 501(c)(3) institution based in Minnesota, with staff and volunteers located around the county and even internationally. Since their founding in 2009, they have committed to playing pivotal rolle in reshaping America based on the ideals of a free, just and prosperous society. To do so, they aim to change the very culture of the country by empowering individuals with the knowledge, clarity and confidence to live free.

Prior to co-founding Intellectual Takeout, Devin Foley served as the Director of Development at the Center of the American Experiment, a state-based think tank in Minnesota, where he was responsible for meeting a $1 million annual budget. He has roughly eight years of fundraising and policy experience working for candidates and non-profit organizations. Additionally, he has been on 100.3 KTLK as well as Talk of the Nation on NPR and was named a 2011 Young Leader by the American Swiss Foundation.

Representing Republicans at the Washington County Fair!

2012 July 2
Comments Off on Representing Republicans at the Washington County Fair!

For the first time, Washington County Republicans will be hosting a booth to represent all of the Republicans in Washington County at the Washington County Fair in August 2012. We are working with the local Senate and House Districts, along with local candidates to coordinate volunteers to help at the booth. Candidates will be stopping by the booth to answer questions throughout the fair. Times and dates will posted soon. We will be offering games, contests, polls and giveaways for those stopping by the booth to enjoy. Let’s make this year fun and informative!

The Washington County Fair is held Wednesday, August 1st – Sunday, August 5th. The booth will be open 8:00am-10:00pm on every day of the fair. We are asking volunteers to sign up for 1-2 hour shifts during these times. We are required to have someone at our booth every hour the fair is open. With the country in economic turmoil and the recent passage of Obamacare, we need to show the people that there is an alternative. Join us and support your local candidates, representatives and fellow Republicans in Washington County!

To volunteer, please visit our website www.wcrmn.com and sign up on the homepage or under the “Volunteer” tab.
